This letter is to thank you both for your support of the Intel Community Labs This is to certify that Daniele Zulberti successfully completed their Student Volunteer Project under the Linux Foundation Networking from 10-October-2021 to 10-April-2022. Daniele worked on the Anuket project ViNePerf, and was mentored by Sridhar Rao.
A brief description of the specific project Daniele Zulberti worked on is given below:
Previously ViNePerf had support for NFVI benchmarking using test VNFs and related metrics collection. In an effort to pivot the project automation efforts to benchmark CNFs on vSwitch network infrastructure, it was required to configure East-West network topologies, including test traffic generators. This project completed a series of benchmarking tests using PROX and Trex traffic generators/receivers, to evaluate the throughput and latency of 5 different network topologies using uni-directional and bi-directional traffic.
Daniele Zulberti has completed the project successfully and met all the established project objectives.
Projects, particularly for your support of the OPNFV and Anuket ViNePerf project from 2013 to December 2022. The long-time committers on the ViNePerf (formerly vsperf) project truly appreciate the level of support you provided and your attention to special requests. The hardware that Intel supplied stood the test of time, along with this very productive relationship.
ViNePerf plans to move to LaaS hosting at the UNH Labs, and have taken several successful steps in that directionThe mentor was satisfied with Daniele's motivation and performance throughout the duration of the project.
