    Kali Release

Approved a one week extension, so TSC will approve the final release at the next meeting (June 29) still before July 1.  Need a Marketing highlights page https://wiki.anuket.io/x/p4l0 (copy the notes in Kali area)  Al Mortonwill write a Blog post that will be released close to the actual release date that will cover the Kali highlights and the M6 release.  The more formal Marketing PR will be released in mid-July so that it will have more impact in the market and avoid the US July 4th holiday deadzone.

GMSA tools have been used to fix many of the typos and out of date references.  RM is mostly done, needs a bit more cleanup only. Section 0 needs to be edited.

RA1 is mostly complete, but it needs a bit more review for a one long standing RI1 - PR 2274

The TSC Release approval was postponed from last week.

    Status:

Github Kali release: Stable branch created. Tag created.

    Readthedocs is done Gergely Csatari

The CCC is taking over the role of the Docs project.  Need for Chapter 0 updates.  It was created as an overview of CNTT.  Needs to pivot to Anuket.  Has diagrams from Rabi Abdul.  Needed for the Specs side.  Scott and Beth will review the doc and make a recommendation on what needs to be done.

    Cedric Ollivier

    • stable/kali differs between CNTT and Functest.
    • fixed the release highlight proposed for Functest which was falsy
    • Anuket RC1 and RC2 well list the right containers:
    /pull/2274 Trevor Cooperwill review shortly.
and is starting on the Lakelse work

Marketing message discussion.  A blog post issued on July 1 will be getting lost in the holiday noise.  Al Mortonhas agreed to write a blog post announcing the Kali Release that will be posted July 1.  The full marketing activities will be done mid-July.

TSC Officially approved Kali Release!  Yea!!!  Enjoy a nice cool libation in celebration, unless you are in Australia, then it should be hot.

Lakelse tasks.  Still missing Barometer and Airship.  Review of why it is important to keep track of version dependencies.  RC and RI need to be mapped to which version of RA is being worked against.  Software developers need to know, end users and the community also need to know. Cedric Ollivier it's worth mentioning that they are already RC1 and RC2 endusers. The OpenStack and Kubernetes releases and the RAX links are described in RCX. @TSC: Feel free to contribute any enhancement.

5 minPlanned shutdown of Portland lab and actions neededPortland Lab will be vacated by August 1.  Functest will be relocated.  Any other projects will also be be moved.

    TSC Technical Discussion Forum updates

    Gergely Csatari

RA2 is complete and is starting on the Lakelse work

RC1 is complete.  RC2 has 1 PR left.  The test cases are getting cleaned up.

    RI2 is complete.

Airship update: Needs to update a global replace of OPNFV to Anuket. James Gureports mostly finished.  A few patches will be released upstream.  Bare Metal Operator and Ironic versions will be released in August, so miss Kali release.  ODIM team working on integration with Airship, the work is still in progress, will take a few months to complete.  Demo was completed.

Barometer:  Emma Foleythe update is in good shape.  One of the daily builds needs fixing.

ViNePerf update: Sridhar Rao needs to update a global replace of OPNFV to Anuket, otherwise in good shape.

CIRV-SDV: Sridhar Rao is done and a few cleanup loose ends.

    Cedric Ollivier

    • Functest: already released Jerma (as used by Anuket Kali), Kali (Ussuri), Leguer (Victoria) and Wallaby (as will be used by Anuket Lakelse)
    • Functest Kubernetes: v1.21 (as used by Anuket Kali) was announced a couple of weeks ago

Cedric Ollivier M1 L-release, conflicting with Kali M5 and M6, is disconnected from contribution reality. It's far too much overhead. It should be noted that we only discussed about L. end date not its milestones.

ACTION:  ALL LEADERS, Please fill-out the Kali Release Highlights Wiki by end of day
